Rename /home/justyna/.cache/winetricks/dotnet20/l_intl.zip and try. You probably already have LibreOffice Office Suite installed. First I got an error from WineTricks while trying to install dotnet20 it gave me the message “Mono. Env 32bit prefix. Autodesk no longer support download links for 3dsmax9 so I will provide the links from my archive, contact me and I will send you a link to a trail version. Updated notes; Dec 17, 2015 To get 3dsmax working and running. If running from 64bit do; WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 winecfg Do not install any winetricks repos the first time around with a clean wine prefix as with some versions max will install first time. Otherwise do; 32bit machine; winetricks msxml3 msxml6 dotnet20 cc580 vcrun2003 64bit machine; env WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 winetricks msxml3 msxml6 dotnet20 cc580 vcrun2003 When running the 3dsmax.exe installer de-select metal-ray satellite and continue as normal with the install process. This works for wine version 1.6.2 with Ubuntu 15.04 32/64bit Use the license import utility to transfer your windows 3dsmax9 license. If 3dsMax9 doesn't work try this. Fix: Use OpenGL as graphics mode. Howto: 1) Save a new.reg file with these informations: REGEDIT [HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software. With today's wine from git, I did rm -rf.wine sh winetricks corefonts dotnet20 cc580 vcrun2003 wine 3dsmax9Trial.exe cd.wine/drive_c/3dsmax9Trial/ wine Setup.exe After about five minutes, it got to the dialog that asks questions, and crashed like this: Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000001 in 32-bit code (0xb7e5f588). I noticed that Louis says that you have to use a native comctl32.dll - I am running 64 bit Ubuntu dual-booted with Windows XP x64. So I grabbed the comctl32.dll from there. I put it in Wine's system32 folder, renaming the Wine one to comctl32.dll.OLD. I also switched the Windows version in Wine config between 2000 and XP. None of this changed my results trying to run 3dsmax. I also noticed this comment on the.NET page: However, I went into regedit and I didn't have to change anything, it was already correct. I went back to the installer. This time it asks me if I want to Modify, Repair, or Remove the install. All this is leading me to believe that the install actually did work, despite the error. Since 0.9.59 came out, I decided to try again with a clean install of Wine, as someone mentioned the patch would be incorporated. I'm not too experienced with all this, so bear with me. I followed the HOWTO for installing.NET, which, if I understood it, involves only these two lines: wget sh winetricks corefonts dotnet20 That seemed to work; I got confirmation pop-ups saying all these fonts got installed. It then installed.NET 2. Microsoft windows media player 12. 0 and didn't notify me of any problems, if there were any. I then ran the 3ds max 9 installer, which seemed to go fine until a point. It failed because of an error. I have the install log posted here (1.1MB) Is there a better place for this? Just for the heck of it, I tried running the program.
